Ed is a pretty cool editor.

I have been using vim and nano as my main text editors. I have never heard of ed. I've learned it was created by ken Thompson, the creator of the C language in unix.
I saw a few videos on youtube on using the ed editor. And it's pretty cool and powerful. I love it.
The only con is you have to constantly check the current line you're at before doing edits as the ed editor is a single line editor.
from my personal view,ed is great for writing short text files and scripts. And vim for everything else.
