How to remove console FAILURE warning

Hi out there

I'm housekeeping my installation of 11.2 prior to doing a fresh one with 11.3, adding some 'extras' this time. Among the many things I'd like to learn are:

1. whenever I boot (consistent = every time) I get the following:

"Setting up Linux console... FAILURE: You should not be reading this error message. It means that an unforseen error took place in /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S70console, which exited with a return value of 1. If you're able to track this error down to a bug in one of the file provided by the LFS book, please be so kind to inform us at lfs-dev@lists.linuxfromscratch.org. Press Enter to continue..."

I'm afraid I have nothing useful to contribute here, but I wondered is there any way to edit out the appearance of this mildly discouraging caveat? There's no mention of the issue in the dmesg.

2. I'm working strictly CLI and would much prefer to use my favourite Terminus font (ter-d22b). I managed to get hold of 'ter-x22b.pcf.gz' and added it to /usr/share/consolefonts but got "Font too big ... Bad character height", though it's dwarfed by solar24x32. I tried to follow the BLFS page (Chapter 3) but got nowhere. Any advice, please?

TIA, and thanks to everybody anyway.
