Police launch murder inquiry after death of woman in Cornwall hospital

Man in his 30s, believed to be known to woman in her 60s, arrested on suspicion of murder

A murder investigation has been launched after a female patient in her 60s died at Cornwall's main hospital.

Devon and Cornwall police were called on Wednesday afternoon to the Royal Cornwall hospital in Truro, where the patient came to harm. A man in his 30s believed to have been known to the woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
