Aaron Rodgers agreed to rework his contract with the New York Jets, signing a two-year pact worth $75 million guaranteed, reports NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The four-time NFL MVP had nearly $110 million remaining on the contract he originally inked with the Green Bay Packers, Pelissero adds. Rodgers restructured it in April to facilitate the trade that sent him to New York.

Full breakdown on Aaron Rodgers' new two-year, $75 million fully guaranteed deal:

$35 million roster bonus in 4 days
$1,838,888 2023 base salary
$38,161,1112 2024 base salary

By restructuring his deal, Rodgers delayed a $58.3-million option bonus until 2024, the final year of the agreement, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

The reworked contract gives the Jets increased flexibility to build around the accomplished pivot. It's technically a five-year deal that includes two option years in order to spread out his potential bonuses and ensure the cap hit is just under $9 million, according to Pelissero.

The Packers dealt Rodgers to the Jets in late April along with a 2023 first-round (No. 15) and fifth-round pick in exchange for New York's 2023 first-rounder (No. 13), a second-round selection, and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that can become a first if Rodgers plays 65% of the team's snaps next season.

Green Bay chose Iowa defensive end Lukas Van Ness with the 13th overall selection, and New York took Iowa State defensive end Will McDonald two picks later.

Rodgers spent his first 18 campaigns with the Packers, taking over as the unquestioned starter in 2008, his fourth season. He led Green Bay to a championship in 2010 while earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Rodgers is a 10-time Pro Bowler who The Associated Press named its Athlete of the Year in 2011.
