Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey underwent a full meniscus repair procedure Friday and will be sidelined until December, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed that Ramsey would undergo knee surgery on his meniscus injury Friday but said the exact timeline of his return wouldn't be determined until after the procedure, per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

Ramsey was carted to the locker room with a leg injury during Thursday's training camp practice, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. He was evaluated by trainers after grabbing his left knee following a play that had him defending receiver Tyreek Hill.

The six-time Pro Bowl corner tried to remain on the field following the play but went to the sideline after feeling his left knee, Wolfe notes.

Ramsey addressed his injury Thursday on social media.

I'll be back on that field stronger than ever... in due time! This SO minor for God's child! I trust fully & know He got me! Im forever grateful to worship His name! I know my brothers gone hold it down until I'm back tho!

Appreciate the love & support!
Time to get right!

The Dolphins acquired Ramsey in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams earlier this offseason. He's collected 19 interceptions since coming into the league as the No. 5 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Miami's cornerback depth chart still features four-time Pro Bowler Xavien Howard, Kader Kohou, and 2023 second-round pick Cam Smith, among others.
