Ubuntu Graphical not loading

I was attempting to do an auto update and Ubuntu (jammy) froze with a black screen. After attempting to reboot I received a screen (without mouse support) similar to my cli screen but no graphical presentation. The screen I encounter is:

I can enter a login name and password but cannot progress past that (no mouse support or GUI) so cannot copy/paste to here. I've tried all sudo apt-get items I can think of such at "update", "upgrade", "install", etc. but nothing seems to work.

Suggestions? I can't even re-install Ubuntu (or any distro) from here.
