EXFAT partitions not seen in MacOS
by mstrimel from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DJMT)
Hi,
My goal was to transfer my music and photo collections from Linux and make them accessible in MacOS. It appeared that EXFAT file format could be read by both. So, I took a 1TB external drive and copied my photos and music from LInux onto an EXFAT partition on the drive.
Unfortunately, the MacBook does not see the partition. It sees the windows partition on the same external drive, but simply does not see the EXFAT at all. Can anyone give hints as to what I am doing wrong? I have worked through some MacOS troubleshooting sites on line, but nothing works. It is just not seen at all.
Thanks,
Mary
