Logitech Marble Mouse is Jumping All Over, Wondering about Missing Installation
by samtsco from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DNDA)
Running Slackware 15.0 on a Dell Optiplex 980 and using either of two Logitech Marble Mouse trackballs, mouse cursor runs wild most of the time, runs and jumps all over the screen. Using Tabs Window Manager.
I do not know it is related, and it is of lesser concern, but it sometimes takes quite a while for the mouse cursor to appear when I boot and start X.
References to xf86-input-libinput and libinput are in some old notes of mine. So I checked, and found I have
/var/log/packages/libinput-1.19.3-x86_64-1
/var/log/packages/xf86-input-libinput-1.2.1-x86_64-1
I have a note telling myself to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-libinput.conf but it does not reside as such on my current system. Might just be a Debian thing.
I will appreciate any clues; I cannot find anything to read on the subject.
