Recovering removed files on an external hard drive
by etcetera from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DR2G)
So I had a user mount the external drive in the entirely wrong place, didn't realize it and ran recursive rm -rf which ended up cleaning out the 10TB external HDD.. this looks really embarrassing.
I am running testdisk to analyze and then recover the data. I re-mounted it a different mount point so nothing is being written to it.
Is testdisk capable of recovering the 10TB of data? What do I select after the analysis phase? It takes me 14 hours to run the analysis phase.
