Raiders' McDaniels: I don't think Adams' injury is 'crazy serious'
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams left Friday's joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers early after suffering an apparent leg injury, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic.
Adams, who was helped off the practice field, sustained the injury after taking a hit by 49ers defensive back Charvarius Ward. The All-Pro wideout pointed to his calf while heading to the locker room, per ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said he doesn't think Adams has a major injury.
"I don't think it was crazy serious. It was a bang-bang play," McDaniels said after Friday's practice.
Adams, who joined Las Vegas last year in a blockbuster trade from the Green Bay Packers, caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022. The 30-year-old has led the NFL in TD receptions in two of the last three seasons.
