Cooper lauds Moore: Browns can have WR duo like Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper believes he and Elijah Moore can form one of the best wide receiver duos in the league.
"I think about great tandems like Torry Holt (and) Isaac Bruce. That's what I think we could be," Cooper said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. "We both run really good routes, both create separation. We both can get open, and we're both reliable."
Cleveland acquired Moore in a trade with the New York Jets this offseason after he requested to be dealt in October. The Browns sent a second-round pick to New York for a third-round pick and Moore.
The 23-year-old was a second-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. He struggled to get playing time since entering the league, only starting 15 games over two campaigns. The Ole Miss product hauled in 86 catches for 1,193 yards in his final year in college.
"Elijah makes a lot of plays. He's a great complement to the offense, great complement to me," Cooper added.
Moore has 984 receiving yards and 80 catches in 27 career games. The Browns kick off their regular season on Sept. 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
