Not able to paste into system file.

I am trying to update my openvpn file but I cannot paste my tcp and udp files from Nordvpn into my openvpn file. I don't have the option to paste. I have admin authority on my userid in the user settings. When I look at the file properties for openvpn it says that the owner is root and the access is create and delete files but it is grayed out. At the bottom of the window it says that I am not the owner so you cannot change these permissions. I am trying to stay with the gui but I can use the command line if that is what is required. Thank you
