vim/gvim segmentation fault on start after upgrade to vim-9.0.1776 in Slackware64 Current

Just wondering is anyone else was getting segfaults on start after upgrading to vim-9.0.1776-x86_64-1.txz in Slackware64 Current?
The interim resolution was to downgrade to vim-8.2.4256-x86_64-1 in Slackware64 15.0.
The problem wasn't evident in vim-9.0.1736-x86_64-1.txz but I haven't found a repo with a copy of this version to reinstall to test more thoroughly.
