The Cleveland Browns are trading quarterback Josh Dobbs and a seventh-round selection to the Arizona Cardinals for a fifth-round pick, the team announced Thursday.

Starter Kyler Murray is recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in 2022. His status to begin the season is uncertain.

Dobbs joins a quarterback room that includes the rehabbing Murray, Colt McCoy, rookie Clayton Tune, and David Blough.

McCoy started three games for the Cardinals in 2022 after Murray went down. The soon-to-be 37-year-old completed 68.2% of his passes for 780 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in four total appearances.

Dobbs, 28, joined the Tennessee Titans late in last year's campaign and started two games for the club. He totaled 411 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions with a 58.8% completion rate.

The deal is Arizona's third of the day after sending offensive tackle Josh Jones to the Houston Texans and safety-linebacker hybrid Isaiah Simmons to the New York Giants. The flurry of moves comes as we approach Tuesday's roster cutdown deadline.
