A new study from the University of Arkansas has found that charter schools receive 30 percent less funding per pupil on average than traditional public schools. Despite this, charter schools still tend to outperform traditional public schools on educational outcomes, an observation that poses a serious challenge to the contention that more funding is what's needed to improve public schools.
