Little-known local official Stacey Klein is second Republican to declare run in closely watched 2024 race

A second Republican with little name recognition is entering the race to take on the Democratic senator Tammy Baldwin, whose 2024 push for re-election in Wisconsin is expected to be one of the most closely watched US Senate contests in the nation.

Stacey Klein, a Trempealeau county board supervisor, filed to run on Tuesday and said she would make a formal announcement on Saturday. Klein, who has three siblings in the military, said she always had a desire to serve in a big way".
