Infrequent black/blank screen after entering login on GDM/GNOME
by sentipede from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6EPYN)
Sometimes, after booting my system and entering my login info into GDM, I'm faced with black/blank screen. I can't see my cursor, but if I try to control volume for example, I can hear the GNOME desktop sounds. I tried enabling/disabling the elogind service because I thought that, maybe, dbus was struggling to activate it. This only happens when I try to boot--never after signing in or out or sleep. System details:
Kernel: 6.3.13_1
Distro: Void
DE: GNOME 44.2 on Wayland
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5675U
GPU: Integrated; no discrete graphics
