ifdown & ifup both are not working in RedHat

I am getting the below error response on the termianl1:
[root@myhost ~]# ifup
bash: ifup: command not found...
[root@myhost ~]# ifdown
bash: ifdown: command not found...
[root@myhost ~]# ifup
bash: ifup: command not found...
[root@myhost ~]# ifdown
bash: ifdown: command not found...
