GPS and the Dark Side

I saw this story on one of my local TV news sites. I've known this station since I was a wee one and it has a very good track record for trying to get it right.

An excerpt:

A cashier at a Virginia Beach grocery store was arrested for placing an electronic tracking device inside stickers given to a customer leaving the store back in July.

The customer in question is a child.

I draw two conclusions.

First, I commend the parent for paying attention.

Second, we need to make sure that we and ours are educated to be aware and alert.
