Shrinking / partition and increasing /var in LVM2

Install of OL9 on a 2TB SSD.
I made / too large and /var too small. Only 40GB and I need at least 100GB.
I run lvm2 obviously. I was puzzled why /usr wasn't created as its own partition but never mind.
What single user recovery program do I boot into to make changes to it?
