Google Chrome: How to choose default WhatsApp app
by retiem from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6FDZE)
Hi there,
On Google Chrome, upon clicking on a WhatsApp link (https://wa.me/...), I'm taken to https://api.whatsapp.com/... on which the following popup comes up (see attachment)
There I'm given the choice either to cancel or to open the link with "WhatsApp for Linux", one of the standalone WhatsApp apps/clients I am running.
The issue is, I actually would like to use the other WhatsApp app that I'm running, "WhatsApp Desktop".
Does anyone know where and how I can change this? And make "WhatsApp Desktop" the default app? I'm sure it is possible somehow!
From what I have researched so far, apparently it has to do with xdg-mime? But I'm not sure how to go about it...
My distro is "KDE neon 5.27"
Any tips you are willing to share would be highly appreciated!
Thanks and regards.
