[SOLVED] How to know when a user enters a certain directory.
by Basher52 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6FG4G)
Was first thinking of systemd and path but that seems to just monitor changes.
Is there such a thing or do I have to wait for changes in that directory for the trigger to happen?
I need to get a script running before any changes are made against a git repo depending on what that directory is and notify
the user from the result of this query and it might be too late if this happens when the changes are done, too late if the result are bad news.
If this is run just as the user enters the directory the script has some time to run and can send the reply to that user.
