Linux doesn't boot without gpu

Hi, so basically as the title says I used a GPU to get through the setup of Linux but want to go headless, my CPU has integrated graphics, however when booting it works fine with the GPU installed but once uninstalled from the motherboard it doesn't boot anymore. Are there any commands to bypass this check for GPU? I'm currently using Ubuntu also.
