The Buffalo Bills won't bring in free-agent running back Leonard Fournette for a visit on Tuesday despite the team's initial interest, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Fournette told NFL insider Jordan Schultz on Monday that he had a visit scheduled with Buffalo. However, the Bills scratched it since they don't expect to lose running back Ty Johnson from their practice squad anymore, reports Schultz.

Other teams have also shown interest in Fournette, notes Pelissero.

The veteran back spent the last three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was an important contributor to the Bucs' Super Bowl run during the 2020 season. Fournette put up 812 yards on the ground over 14 appearances and 13 starts in 2021. His efficiency cratered to 3.5 yards per carry last season.

The Bills face the Bucs in Week 8.

Buffalo's rushing attack ranks 13th in the NFL this season. Second-year rusher James Cook leads the backfield with 363 yards on 4.8 yards per attempt. The team's running back depth chart also features Latavius Murray and Damien Harris, who was briefly hospitalized after suffering a sprained neck in Sunday night's win over the New York Giants. Harris is in the concussion protocol.
