Headphones for Ubuntu
by Tilly from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6FXEW)
I'm hoping someone here might be able to help with this. I'm about to receive a new PC to replace my current one. It's being built with Ubuntu installed (currently I'm running Ubuntu 23.04 and Gnome 44.3 -I doubt very much the new PC will come with that!). I have an old pair of TurtleBeach headphones and a pair of Sony audio headphones both of which work fine on Ubuntu. However, I'd like to buy something more comfortable and I'm wondering if I'm likely to hit some comparability issues. I've DuckDuckGo-ed the question and it's left me just a little in need of some Linux expertise either reassuring me or telling me what to avoid. I'm not expecting a list of recommended headphones BTW - just a yes, you'll be fine or Don't get that! I'm looking at either gaming headphones (probably Razer because of support from the Linux community) or more likely audio like Beydynamic. They'll be wired.
Thanks in advance for any help!
