The New York Jets apparently showed interest in bringing Aaron Rodgers' former teammate, Davante Adams, to the Big Apple.

The Jets called the Las Vegas Raiders to inquire about Adams' availability before the trade deadline earlier this week, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. New York had reportedly considered acquiring the superstar receiver since the offseason.

However, Las Vegas remained adamant throughout the buildup to the Oct. 31 trade deadline that it wouldn't part with Adams.

The Jets also called the Tampa Bay Buccaneers about Mike Evans' availability over the summer, Schefter adds.

Adams' relationship with the Raiders has been one of the hottest topics of the season. Adams has voiced his displeasure multiple times this campaign over his lack of targets, including after last Monday's loss to the Detroit Lions.

Las Vegas also went through a major organizational shakeup prior to the trade deadline, firing head coach Josh McDaniels, general manager Dave Ziegler, and offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi.
