New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will miss the remainder of the season after an MRI confirmed a torn ACL, head coach Brian Daboll announced Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jones exited Sunday's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in the second quarter following a non-contact injury.

On the play, Jones dropped back to pass only to collapse in an empty pocket. He immediately grabbed at his right knee after going down.

The Week 9 contest was Jones' first game in nearly a month after he missed the last three contests with a neck injury.

The season-ending knee injury means the Giants quarterback will have suited up for just six of a possible 17 games since signing a four-year, $160-million contract extension this past offseason.

Jones is due a fully guaranteed base salary of $35.5 million in 2024, per Spotrac.

The 26-year-old has struggled mightily since his breakout 2022 campaign. Jones has thrown for two touchdowns to six interceptions while putting up a career-low 70.5 passer rating.

With Jones lost for the season, New York will likely turn to undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito until veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor returns from injured reserve.

The Giants, who made a playoff appearance last season, are 2-7 and own the league's lowest-scoring offense (11.2 points per game).
