Bills' Miller: No bad blood with Broncos ahead of MNF

Von Miller spent 11 seasons with the Denver Broncos before being traded in 2021. On Monday, the Buffalo Bills pass-rusher will face his former team for the first time, but he doesn't view the contest as a personal revenge game.

"I left on good terms, left to go win a Super Bowl. I had a great relationship with everyone in that facility," Miller said Thursday, according to The Athletic's Nick Kosmider. "For me, I didn't want to leave. I cried real tears when I left. To see them again and see that organization winning and starting to do better is a treat for me. It would never be the other way around for me."

Miller said there's no ill will on his side because he "didn't have bad blood with anybody" before he was shipped to the Los Angeles Rams for a second- and third-round pick.

"It's just another game," Miller added.

The three-time first-team All-Pro went on to win his second Super Bowl ring with the Rams. He signed with the Bills as a free agent in March 2022.

Denver drafted Miller second overall in 2011. The Texas A&M product quickly became recognized as one of the league's most prolific pass-rushers and was named MVP of Super Bowl 50. Miller remains the Broncos' all-time leader in sacks (110.5) and tackles for loss (142).

Miller said he really values his friendship with current Broncos such as Justin Simmons, Garett Bolles, and Pat Surtain II. He isn't expecting much fanfare ahead of his return given that changes to coaches and ownership have taken place since his last game in a Broncos uniform nearly two years ago.

Miller is increasing his workload after tearing his ACL during a Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions, which forced him to miss the rest of the 2022 season. The veteran has recorded just one tackle in five games since being activated from the physically unable to perform list Oct. 7.
