SME server issues, possible corrupted files? also wont accept input.
by josh from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6GB16)
server was turned off by either a power cut or surge, and now shows the following:
(udev, hostname server and 2 logical volumes all ok)
checking filesystems
/dev/mapper/main-root contains a filesystem with errors, check forced.
inodes that were part of corrupted orphan linked list found.
/dev/mapper/main-root: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY: RUN fsck MANUALLY.
(i.e., without -a or -p options)
[failed]
*** an error occoured during file system check
*** dropping you to a shell; file system will reboot
*** when you leave the shell
give root password for maintenence
(or type control-D to continue):
---------------------
however, when i type a character or number, it doesn not accept input, and aside from function keys the only accepted input is control-D, which puts me right back on this screen
any help is appreciated, thanks.
