Brother printer error Connecting to Device

Hi. My brother HL-5370DW has worked great for years with several versions of Ubuntu!! Have always just been able to do std setup adding Network printer and selecting post script driver. For some reason recently it quit working. It says iPrinter Error, Connecting to Devicei. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the printer, using every driver option available, none work. I booted into Windows 10 and it prints fine, so I know the printer, cables, etc. still work.

I have updated my internet to fiber recently, so have a new router. The printer is connected to the new router via ethernet cable.. It seems to find the printer just fine when I "Add new printer" and select Network printer.

I found by trial and error I can get ubuntu to print if I change the Device URI to: lpd://192.168.1.246:515/PASSTHRU instead of: lpd://BRN001BA92D92EC/BINARY_P1 which is what I always used successfully before.

Read somewhere that is not a good idea to use the IP address because it might change when I reboot.. I was wondering if I am using a different port on the new router than I used on the old router, but not sure why Ubuntu would have trouble finding it.

Is there something else I should try? Thank you for any help.
