Fedora hangs near end of boot

I posted the following on the Fedora forum, but no response so thought I'd try here:
I decided to do a total re-install on a 1TB ssd drive: Windows 10, Linux Mint, Ubuntu and Fedora 39. I have never found installing Fedora easy as with Ubuntu. So I thought I'd use Acronis and do an image of Fedora OS and its' Home partition. So I formatted and installed Windows, then restored the old Windows partition. So far so good. Then I restored the Fedora and Fedora Home partitions. Then I installed Ubuntu. Now comes the fun. Ubuntu put Fedora in the Grub. I selected Fedora on boot up and it seemed to be acting normally, but then halted on a line I can't recall, but after stumbling over it for some time it came up with this message:

Can't open access to console, root account locked. su login(8) man page

I am able to access Fedora folders through Ubuntu. I had a look at fstab, but nothing stands out. So if anyone has a suggestion on an edit I could do to solve; it would be much appreciated.

I've tried re-installing, but find Fedora's installer just too difficult in choosing an install partition and its' home partition plus another partition I wanted it to have access to.

So that's where I'm at and if I can't find an easy solution then I'll just forget Fedora.
