New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he hasn't decided who will be at quarterback for the team Friday against the Miami Dolphins, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.

The Jets put Tim Boyle under center to replace Zach Wilson in the third quarter of Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Wilson completed 7 of 15 pass attempts for 81 yards and one touchdown against one interception before Boyle entered the contest with the Jets trailing 29-6. The 24-year-old Wilson, who was sacked five times in Week 11, has struggled to meet expectations since entering the NFL as the No. 2 pick in 2021. He now owns an 11-20 career record as a starter.

Wilson began the 2023 campaign as New York's No. 2 passer behind Aaron Rodgers, whom the Jets acquired as part of an offseason trade from the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury in Week 1 but reportedly plans to play again in 2023 if the Jets are in playoff contention.

Wilson has completed only 59.8% of his passes for 1,863 yards and five touchdowns against six picks through this season's first nine games.

Boyle, an undrafted free agent in 2018, has spent time with four different teams throughout his NFL career. He signed with the Jets this year. Entering Sunday, the 29-year-old hadn't attempted a pass since Week 18 of the 2022 season in a brief appearance as a member of the Chicago Bears. Boyle went 7-for-14 passing with 33 yards and one interception against the Bills.

The Jets boast one of the NFL's best defenses, but their offense has held the team back. New York dropped to 4-6 with Sunday's defeat.
