Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones isn't expected to suit up for Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions due to a sprained MCL, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones was classified as week-to-week after being carted off with a knee injury in last Sunday's 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The 28-year-old has been injury-plagued this season, already missing three games earlier due to hamstring issues.

Jones hasn't looked like his usual self when on the field, either. The Packers running back is averaging a career-low 3.7 yards per carry and only 35 rushing yards per game. He's been held to 40 yards or less on the ground in five of his seven appearances.

AJ Dillon is expected to receive a larger workload if Jones is sidelined.

Green Bay clawed back to 4-6 with its win against Los Angeles in Week 11. However, the franchise still sits behind the Lions (8-2) and Minnesota Vikings (6-5) in the NFC North.
