Not syncing:No working init found (after adding a harddrive)
by Alfred-Augustus from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6GNH9)
Hi
I am doing a new install of Slackware on my Thinkpad. It has a Windows harddrive for the main drive bay, and it also has a harddrive for the DVD-caddy.
I removed the Windows harddrive before installing Slackware into the DVD-caddy harddrive. After successfully installing Slackware, I put the Windows harddrive back into the main drive bay.
If the Windows harddrive is in the main drive bay, Slackware fail to boot. It shows "Kernel panic Not syncing: No working init found".
If I remove the Windows harddrive, then Slackware boots successfully.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks!
