Broken pipe error with su - <username> command on CentOS7
by linuxlover.chaitanya from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6GRES)
Hello all,
One of my servers running CentOS7 on HPE Blade physical server in c7000 started giving "Broken pipe" error when trying to "su - <username" even using root. Also, when this happens, users fail to login through ssh. But this happens only for the accounts created on active directory and local accounts are all fine. Can su to local accounts and can login remotely through ssh as well. We are using VAS to integrate Linux to AD and this is happening only on this particular server and rest of the infra is all fine. Have not changed anything recently. I can provide any details that any of the helping hands would like to know.
PS: When I reboot the server, it starts working for a while and then breaks again. There is no specific timeline when it breaks. It is random.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chaitanya
