What the odds say: Will Tyreek record a 2,000-yard season?

Before the season, Tyreek Hill made one thing clear: He wanted to become the first NFL player to eclipse 2,000 receiving yards in a season.

He's lived up to that lofty goal so far.

Hill sits at 1,481 yards through 12 games - an average of 123.4 yards. If he maintains that pace over the Dolphins' remaining five contests, he'll surpass 2,000 by a mere 98 yards.

The wide receiver is also on track to break Calvin Johnson's single-season record of 1,964 yards set in 2012. However, Johnson set the record in a 16-game regular season.

Hill's implied probability of breaking Johnson's record is 64.3%, while his likelihood of reaching 2,000 yards is 54.5%.

The Dolphins' remaining schedule will play a key factor in Hill's final total. Four of Miami's remaining five games are against teams in the top 10 of restricting passing yards allowed - the Jets, Ravens, Bills and Cowboys.

Miami's Week 14 game against the Titans is Hill's most favorable matchup on paper. He may need to collect a big chunk of those yards this week if he's going to hit 2,000 yards,

If that happens, Hill has to be considered the league's MVP. He's +1200 to win the award, and with no quarterbacks truly separating themselves from the rest of the group, this could become the first year a non-quarterback wins the award since Adrian Peterson did so in 2012.

If the NFL receiving record or 2,000 yards can't get Hill the MVP award, it should be enough to earn him the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year honor. Hill is -200 to win the award, with Christian McCaffrey at +145 his only true threat.
