The NFL handed New York Jets running back Breece Hall a $43,709 fine for unnecessary roughness against the Atlanta Falcons last weekend, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Falcons' A.J. Terrell was placed in concussion protocol following a first-quarter collision with Hall on a 3rd-and-11 reception by the Jets' tailback. Terrell has since been cleared and is listed as questionable for Atlanta's Week 14 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hall wasn't flagged on the play.

The 22-year-old wasn't impressed with the league's decision to levy a significant fine.

"I'll just let him dive at my knees next time I guess? Not like I tore my ACL or anything lol," Hall said in a post on X, formerly known a Twitter.

Hall missed the majority of his rookie campaign after tearing his ACL in a Week 7 contest against the Denver Broncos. The Iowa State product has rushed for 585 yards and two touchdowns this season. He has also recorded 44 receptions for 349 yards and two scores.

Hall will have the opportunity to have his fine rescinded following an appeal. Meanwhile, the second-year halfback is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans but is expected to play, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
