Parsons laments Cowboys' 'mind-boggling' road struggles after Bills loss

The Cowboys fell to 3-4 in road games this season after a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, leaving linebacker Micah Parsons exasperated and confused by his team's struggles.

"Honestly, it's unacceptable at this point," said Parsons, according to team reporter Patrick Walker. "There's no excuse for it. It's mind-boggling, and I don't understand why we're not playing well and why we're not coming together on the road. (It's) something we need to look at and get better at because we're back on the road next week."

Dallas leads the NFL with a plus-171 point differential when playing at home at AT&T Stadium but owns a minus-4 mark when away.

While the Cowboys clinched a playoff berth thanks to losses by the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers on Sunday, their chances of winning the NFC East dropped to just 27%, according to The New York Times' playoff simulator. That number could fall further with the Philadelphia Eagles still to play Monday night.

With the chances of earning a first-round bye also greatly diminished, Dallas fixing its road issues becomes even more important.

"It's a huge difference, and, really, that's what these next couple weeks are about - is figuring out that difference and trying to close that gap," said quarterback Dak Prescott. "We want to come out and start how we do at home, and that's just not been the case.

"We've gotta find out what those answers are. ... We can't be two different teams: winning at home against a good team last week and then come out here today and not get anything done in all three phases."

The Cowboys face another stiff road test in Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins and finish the regular season playing at the Washington Commanders.
