Vivaldi browser 6.5.3206.39 on current - Loads of errors
by MDKDIO from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6H84W)
As you may know, I already made a thread with problems I had with Vivaldi 6.4...
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ng-4175731678/
Since I wasn't able to sort that installation, I thought I'd give current a try instead.
Reinstalled this desktop PC using an ISO provided by AlienBOB for current, dated Dec 17
Updated etc.
Installed Vivaldi 6.5.3206.39 using Ponce repo.
First thing I noticed was a file missing, required by the slackbuild (6.5.3206.39.html)
So I downloaded that file from SBo. Built and installed Vivaldi...
First thing that happen was:
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink './usr/bin/vivaldi-stable'
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink './opt/vivaldi/WidevineCdm'
The rest of the build was working fine.
Upon first start, I had some errors. Sadly I didn't copy these before I restarted the browser due to the
media support thingy...
Upon starting Vivaldi again, I first logged in to sync. That went ok, but I noticed that the
plasma integration logo, top right corner, was missing. It is crossed over by a red stripe/line.
Right click it, went to Options. Ended up with:
"Failed to connect to the native host"
At the same time I got this "error" message in konsole:
Code:[10756:10756:1218/214021.310615:ERROR:CONSOLE(1)] "Refused to create a TrustedTypePolicy named 'dompurify' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "trusted-types parse-html-subset sanitize-inner-html static-types lottie-worker-script-loader webui-test-script webui-test-html print-preview-plugin-loader polymer-html-literal polymer-template-event-attribute-policy".", source: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/inject-root-bundle.js (1)Searched the net for info, found that this could be related to a missing *.json file OR it is not installed to correct folder/path.
I checked if the following files exist:
Code:etc/kde/chromium/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json
etc/kde/opt/chrome/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json
etc/kde/opt/edge/native-messaging-hosts/org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.jsonThey do exist, but some of the results found on the net suggested that (according to an old KDE bug-report) that correct location should've been /etc/opt/...
I have no idea on what is correct or not...
The only error so far is the above error, any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Edit:
I also get the above error when I go by Menu -> Tools -> Extensions
