Dracut mounts /usr as ro instead of rw

Hi,
As stated in the title, I'm having trouble figuring out why dracut keeps mounting /usr partition as ro, instead of rw.
I am a newb when it comes to using dracut. The only other software that I've used that's related would be mkinitramfs (which is not much). I did look at the man-pages for it and used the "--mount /usr" after I remounted it as rw, but it still didn't work.
