Jalen Hurts clarified his remarks about the Philadelphia Eagles' lack of commitment amid a three-game losing streak, instead turning the criticism back on himself.

"It all runs through me. It all starts with me. So when I say 'we,' I mean 'me,' because I'm the point guard out there who makes everything go," Hurts said Thursday, according to Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports.

"This is something that we're going through, not something we're stuck in."

After the Eagles fell to the Seattle Seahawks in dramatic last-minute fashion Monday, the star quarterback suggested the team's poor performances were due to a lack of dedication.

"I've been talking about execution all year, being on the same page, everyone being on the same page," Hurts said. "We didn't execute. I don't think we're ... committed enough."

Hurts added Thursday that he thinks "everyone has the right mentality" but that "everyone has to challenge themselves," according to Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal.

The Eagles were the favorites to earn the NFC's No. 1 seed and lone bye after starting the season 10-1. Meanwhile, Hurts was among the top MVP contenders.

But Hurts has struggled during the losing streak, which included blowout defeats to the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles' main conference competition.

The 25-year-old played through an illness against Seattle and threw two fourth-quarter interceptions, including one on a questionable downfield throw with the Eagles nearing field-goal range in the final minute while down three points.
