Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman won't play against the Atlanta Falcons after he had a relapse in his concussion symptoms, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder.

The wideout was cleared Friday and had been expected to play but has now been downgraded to out.

Pittman sustained the concussion after a violent collision with Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee in Week 15. Kazee was suspended for the remainder of the regular season after the hit.

The Colts are expected to lean on Alec Pierce and rookie Josh Downs with Pittman sidelined. D.J. Montgomery's playing time could also increase after he posted two receptions for 48 yards on four targets against the Steelers.

Pittman has enjoyed a career year despite playing with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew for the majority of the season. His 99 receptions, 1,062 yards, and four receiving touchdowns all pace the team.
