[SOLVED] Current: Alsa problem on sound. 'Groundhog Day' type problem
by business_kid from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HJH0)
I have a clean install of current here and I'm having sound issues - No sound, to be precise.
To cut to the chase, when I press F6 in Alsamixer to choose a soundcard, I get Code: (default)
default: HDA Intel PCH
enter device name(default) is highlighted and selected, and there's no sound. Pavucontrol is blank. When I select the HDA ~Intel, every important thing is muted and set at zero volume. I go through them, set them correctly, exit, and run 'alsactl store' as root. But next reboot, (default) is set, everything's muted & set at zero on the HDA Intel, and I have to start over.
Is there some way I can get rid of the (default) entry?
