This evening (7:38 pm EST), the Earth will pass its closest position to the Sun in its annual orbit. Celebrate! :)
Isn't it funny how our "calendars" manage to miss both of the "planetary 'auspicious days'" which occur this time of year: Solstice, and Perihelion.
