Vid Issues In Firefox v121
by vtel57 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6HKS4)
My ericsbane07 system recently went crash, boom, bang (it's a long story that can be laughed about by reading this posting at Scot's Newsletter Forums). I reacted badly when this happened, but recovered enough sanity to...
... revive my older system ericsbane06 (you can read about that fiasco on this post at Scot's). Anyway, after installing Ruari's scripted latest version of FF and Ponce's modification of Ruari's script for latest Thunderbird (worked really well, by the way), I found that I was having issues playing some vids at news sites and on YouTube/Invidious.
Turns out, for whatever reason, that I did not have FFmpeg and H264 installed. ONCE AGAIN... THANK YOU Alien Bob for your fabulous collection of software in your repos!
The codec issue has been resolved. YAY! The music is playing once again...
