Saints' Kamara a game-time decision vs. Falcons
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Falcons due to an ankle injury, head coach Dennis Allen announced Friday, according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell.
Kamara, who suffered the injury in last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday.
The 28-year-old running back has put up 1,160 yards from scrimmage, with 694 yards coming on the ground. However, he has yet to record a 100-yard rushing performance in a game this season, while his 53.4 rushing yards per contest is his lowest average since his rookie year.
The 8-8 Saints enter the regular-season finale against the 7-9 Falcons with both teams still alive in the playoff hunt. New Orleans can clinch the NFC South division title with a win plus a Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss. The Saints can also secure a wild-card spot with a win and losses from the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.
