Linux and MacOS don't recognize each other's symlinks on external disks.

Linux doesn't recognize MacOS symlinks or MacOS aliases.

MacOS probably doesn't recognize Fedora symlinks, either.

I'm using Fedora, which lists drives under /run/media/[username]/ and rejects symlinks which start /Volumes/.

Is there a workaround to let them recognize each other's symlinks, and/or let Linux recognize MacOS's aliases? Nearest I can think of is to create a folder in root, named "Volumes," which contains a symlink to each volume. But I don't know if that would be safe.
