Martin Luther King III and his family will be on hand for Monday night's wild-card game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

King, who is the son of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., along with his wife Arndrea Waters King and their daughter Yolanda Renee King will serve as honorary team captains for the Bucs and will participate in the coin toss, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

The appearance will mark the first time the King family has helped to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at an NFL game.

"Having the King family in attendance to celebrate the remarkable legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on this special evening is an honor and a privilege," Bucs co-owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz said in a press release. "The work being done by the Martin Luther King III Foundation is truly inspirational and aligns with the Buccaneers' social justice mission to effect meaningful and positive change through purposeful dialogue and impactful programs."

The Bucs will honor Dr. King throughout the game with video board tributes and graphics. The Bethune-Cookman University concert chorale will also perform at halftime.

The NFL recently announced a five-year commitment to Realizing the Dream, a platform created by the King family that aims to unite people through initiatives focused on social change and community impact.
