Bluetooth issue since Debian12 upgrade
by Herve5 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6J0JM)
Hello -and a happy new year!
Since the day I upgraded from Debian 11 to v12, and while absolutely everything else went fine, I have terrible difficulties to connect to my Bluetooth amplifier & speakers system.
In GUI : basically, the Bluetooh little widget does open the related panel, showing previously connected items, but selecting one fails with a 'br-connection-profile-unavailable' warning.
In a terminal : systemctl --user start pulseaudio does solve the point... until I try to stop bluetooth, at which time neither the menu nor the panel work -basically, it's impossible to get back to the ordinary computer speakers, or to any other output.
At that stage, even closing the user session does not help, I need to reboot, to find myself back to the original situation.
It may be something missing, that possibly was not properly updated from Debian 11...
Any advice would greatly help!
