The Las Vegas Raiders are scheduling an interview with USC assistant coach Kliff Kingsbury for their offensive coordinator position, a source told Albert Breer of MMQB.

Kingsbury is one of three early candidates to fill the role on Antonio Pierce's staff. The Raiders will reportedly also talk to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan and former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

Kingsbury spent 2019-2022 in the NFL as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. He had developed a reputation for his ability to produce juggernaut offenses, but, while Arizona twice cracked the top 10 in yardage on offense during his tenure, the team did not place higher than 11th in scoring. He was fired after a 4-13 campaign in 2022.

After his dismissal, Kingsbury returned to the college ranks to serve as USC's quarterbacks coach and worked with star passer Caleb Williams. He previously served as head coach of Texas Tech from 2013-2018, coaching the likes of Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes.

The Raiders are in the process of piecing together Pierce's staff after hiring him on a full-time basis. He went 5-4 as an interim coach in 2022.
